Self-doubts and Other Lies

Listen. What are you hearing? Lies, self-doubts, whispers from the enemy? I want to offer some encouragement to those of you who are having doubts about your calling. This has been a rough year for a lot of people. Jobs have been lost, loved ones have died, bills are piling up and God seems to be helping everyone, except you. Maybe things are not going as well as you would like or have hoped. Maybe the enemy is constantly whispering in your ears that you are worthless, a nobody who is doomed to fail.

Well, I have good news for you. The enemy is LYING. How do I know this? According to John 8:44, “He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Case closed; DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM. He is the author of all of your doubts.

liesGod gave me a personal WORD  for this season a few months ago. I am going to briefly share a little of what He said to offer you some encouragement.

This is what the Holy Ghost said to me: I know your struggle. I see it all, I hear your doubts and your fears. This is a new season for you. I’ve heard the cry of your heart.  You are entering into your Esther moment: Your such a time as this moment. You will be stagnant no longer. I am even now breathing new life and new purpose into you.

DO NOT BE AFRAID to step out into this new thing. Behold, My word says, “I will do a new thing, now it is springing forth. Trust It. Hold firm to it. This WORD is not for you alone. Others are joining you on this remarkable journey. Look for movement in the Spirit and then latch on to that moment. Watch it go and as it moves, you move also. Never allow the enemy to make you believe the lies he’s been spreading. It’s not over, you simply need to step out.

Neither you nor I have the luxury of self-doubts. I have to move ahead with what God has called me to do. Each day I arise and I have to stare into the face of everything that’s evil in the world, and not blink. For if I blink, I fail and failure is not an option. This is what I choose because I can choose and so can you. So toss those doubts away and keep moving forward. Jesus encourages us with these words from John 14, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.  I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

I am not saying that the struggle is not real; I am saying to take a second look at the struggle through the lens of God’s Word. Psalm 116:2 tells us that God leans down to hear our prayers; our cries for help.  He listens to our every word. Stop listening to the lies of the enemy and start believing the Word of the Lord. I keep this Word from God on my computer desktop so I can go back and read it. I want to always keep it in my spirit so I can draw on it in the tough times. This word is not just for me, it’s for you too. So grab ahold of it and let it move you forward into your new season. God bless.
