Praising God in Rio!

God has a plan for each of our lives. These athletes are praising God while in Rio for the 2016 Olympics. Madeline (Maya) DiRado is a first-time Olympian. 

rio 2016 olympicsShe has a quiet confidence in her Christian faith which has enabled her to be a dynamite athlete. She has already earned a gold, silver, and a bronze as part of the US swimming team.

Simone Biles, also a first-time Olympian. American gymnast who has already broken world records.

David Boudia, a member of the US National Diving Team, said: “God is providing his platform so He can reveal Himself.”

Steele Johnson, also on the US National Diving Team, has always been very open about his faith. Johnson, along with Boudia, quoted Philippians 4:6 right before their dive and went on to win a silver medal.

Trayvon Bromell is very strong in faith and believes God healed him of a torn Achilles tendon before he qualified for the 2016 Olympics.

Gabby Douglas, the American gymnast, states that she has to praise God for giving her talent to go out and represent Him and share her faith with everyone.

We may not hear about these athletes from the media, but they are standing strong in their faith and praising God for their victories.
