No Condemnation: Stop Condemning Yourself!

Here’s a great message from guest blogger, Eve Perry: No Condemnation, Stop Condemning Yourself! I was leaving a seminar on Saturday with one of the ladies from my small group and she decided to do a selfie and take some other pictures. She took a couple of pictures of me just laughing and having fun.

CondemnationOne of the pictures was of me laughing really hard and a normal fun picture. I sent this picture to a friend with the thought in my heart, “this will make him laugh after a tough week and a rough day at work”. He was helping a friend on his day off and the friend wasn’t adhering to the timeline they had discussed. Plus, he had already experienced a really tough week prior to this one. So my thoughts were to put a smile on his face by seeing this goofy picture.

Immediately, after I sent it, I start beating myself up about it. Then I said, “God did I miss you in this because I did it to make him laugh and the picture was not inappropriate, plus I am fully covered and etc..”. So then I repented and asked God to forgive me if I missed Him in sending it. Now, I know we were forgiven over 2000 years ago, but I acknowledged (repented) my error because I didn’t ask Him or pray before I sent the picture. Always, always check your intent for the reasons you do something for someone. (That’s a message for another day!!)

The rest of the afternoon the thought would come “you shouldn’t have done this and blah, blah, blah”. I said, “Shut up devil, that’s under the blood!” A few minutes later, the thought came again, you shouldn’t have done that. I immediately began to cast down every evil and vain imagination/thought and decree God’s Word over me, especially my mind (2 Corinthians 10:5). That’s where the real battle starts and that’s where YOU HAVE TO NIP IT and cast it out immediately! You have to be Aggressive, Bold, and Confident in the Word of God!

I know some would think that’s so menial. But it’s the small foxes that spoil the vines (Song of Solomon 2:15). ANY potential threat to your relationship with God should be removed immediately!! If you don’t deal with it then, it will continue to grow and the enemy will torment you and that issue will become a giant in your life. We cannot be passive!!! Slay every giant big or small! Cast it out! It’s the little things that are overlooked that often spoil things of value.

If we confess our sins and repent He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). God’s Word said, “as far as the east is from the west so far has He removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12). So, what God has done for us cannot be changed! It’s forever settled through the shed blood of Jesus Christ! His love for us is far greater than we actually believe and receive. So, don’t allow condemnation to rock you. Condemnation is not of God. The Holy Spirit Convicts not condemns.

So, if God has forgiven you, why are you allowing the enemy or you to keep condemning you? (Romans 8:1)

I encourage you to “STAY FOCUSED ON HIS WORD AND HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR YOU”
