Making Plans: God’s Got This

Making PlansEach year on New Year’s day God and I have a conversation about making plans for the coming year and also reflect on accomplishments from the previous year. One of my goals for last year was to publish my book and I met that goal; actually publishing two books. I make it a point to look beyond what I see with my natural eyes; I look for the potential God sees in me.

Are you spending time with God making plans for the coming year? Maybe last year was not what you thought it would be. You had some losses including deaths in your family, loss of a job, bad news from a doctor and other setbacks; but do not become discouraged.

God’s got this; even when it looks like there is no one on your side. Isaiah 41:10 encourages us:
“Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you”. (MSG)

Remember this: “A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life],
But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.” (Proverbs 16:9. AMP)

Continue to make plans and watch God bring them to pass. Step into the new year and your new season with determination and purpose. If your plans for last year did not materialize keep pressing forward. Delay does not mean QUIT.  Temporary setbacks are exactly what they appear to be, TEMPORARY.

Take heart; God’s got this!  He already knows your end from your beginning. Nothing that happened last year was a surprise to God. Take those arrows the enemy is shooting at you and send them right back into his camp.

God sees meOne of my favorite scriptures: Jeremiah 29:11 –  “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about a future full of hope.” I keep this on my desk so I can always see it while working.  No matter how small the world tries to convince you that you are; I know God sees me now and in the future.  I choose to trust His plans and purposes for my life.

As we start the new year I pray God’s blessings on each of you. Thank you to those who faithfully read my blog and share it on social media. I love you. Thank you for your support.
