God’s Health Care Plan: Divine Healing

Our health care plan is called Divine Healing. From the Old Testament and throughout the New Testament God’s Health Care Plan is revealed. We hear a lot in the news about Obamacare and how everyone needs health care. God has already provided it for us through Jesus Christ. One of my areas of ministry is the Healing Ministry. I love seeing people healed and delivered (Totally made whole).

God’s plan of Salvation: Sozo means to save, to deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):—heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole. God was intent on providing for your physical healing as much as he was determined to provide spiritual healing from sin.

Here is what God’s health care plan includes:

• Protection from sickness and disease: Exodus15:26 , “If you listen, listen obediently to how God tells you to live in his presence, obeying his commandments and keeping all his laws, then I won’t strike you with all the diseases that I inflicted on the Egyptians; I am God your healer.” This scripture reveals God’s character as a God who is intent on healing His people. He is Jehovah (the self-existing one)  Rophe (who heals us).
• Healing of barrenness and miscarriages: Exodus 23:25-26, “But you—you serve your God and he’ll bless your food and your water. I’ll get rid of the sickness among you; there won’t be any miscarriages nor barren women in your land. I’ll make sure you live full and complete lives.”
  1. Sarah – Genesis 18:10,14, 21:1-3. Isaac was born.
  2. Manoah’s wife – Judges 13:5-25. She bore Sampson.
  3. Hannah – 1 Samuel 1:19-20. The result was Samuel.
• Healing blind eyes: Isaiah 19:18,  “At that time the deaf will hear word-for-word what’s been written. After a lifetime in the dark, the blind will see.”
• Healing from ulcerous growths (cancer):2 Kings 20:1-7, Hezekiah became deathly ill; he prayed, God answered and thus Hezekiah was healed.
• Healing blood diseases: Matthew 9:22, “ But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Take courage, daughter; your [personal trust and confident] faith [in Me] has made you well.” And at once the woman was [completely] healed.”
• Healing from demonic attacks: Luke 8:36, “They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.”
  Matthew 8:16-17, “When evening came, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons; and He cast out the evil spirits with a word, and restored to health all who were sick [exhibiting His authority as Messiah],  so that He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He Himself took our infirmities [upon Himself] and carried away our diseases.”
• Healing of Pre-existing conditions: Galatians 3:13, we are redeemed from the curse of the law. This is the Pre-existing Condition Clause in God’s Health Care plan.  Jesus’s shed blood (acts like normal white blood cells) and attacks sickness and disease in our bodies.
• Provides a Health Care Advocate: 1 John 2:1-2; Romans 8:34, We have an advocate, Jesus Christ, who is even now with the Father who intercedes for us. We have access through Faith.
• Totally Affordable: Paid for by the Broken Body and Blood of Jesus. 

Psalms 103:1-5, is the battle cry for the forgiveness of sins and for divine healing. “Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
