Give thanks to God, for His mercy endures forever. As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to inspire you to commit to being thankful. Take time every day to tell someone what you are thankful for. For each post this month I will include scriptures about giving thanks to God.
One of my favorite scriptures on thankfulness is Psalm 136. The Word of God challenges us to always giving thanks because God is always so faithful and His mercy (loving kindness) endures forever. This scripture contains 26 verses and God assures us of His enduring mercy 26 times. This is a truth God wants us to remember.
In 2 Chronicles 7:3, again God gives us a picture of His redemptive nature and shows us how to start each day:
1) Worship and praise the Lord
2) Thank Him for His Goodness
3) Thank Him for His mercy (loving kindness) which is renewed each morning and endures forever
